Healthy Skin in 4 Easy Steps

Cutis Sanus’ Natural & Organic products are based on a 4 step process that will bring you long-lasting and healthy skin care for all skin types. Steps 1 -3 should be done twice a day (morning and night), while step 4 should only be done once a week at the very most and precede the first 3 steps.

Healthy Skin Step 1: Cleanse

Most people apply moisturizers without actually cleaning the surface of the skin first. So really, they’re just sealing in a dirty surface that will simply trap a layer of gunk over the skin and cause irritations such as sensitivities or even acne. It is absolutely crucial to first clean your skin before applying anything to it. We suggest to do this at least twice a day (morning and night) to maintain healthy skin. Rub a cleanser gently on skin to remove unwanted material, and wash with water. That simple.

Healthy Skin Step 2: Tone

Once your skin has been cleansed, your pores will remain open and maybe even oily. Using a toner will tighten the skin and close up those pores, so it doesn’t get too greasy when you apply a moisturizer. Depending on the cleanser you’ve used and how it affects your skin, a good toner can also balance the pH levels of your skin and keep it from drying out. Try to avoid anything containing alcohol that can severely dry and irritate your skin. Spray it on or apply with a cotton ball. Do not wash off and let it dry on its own.

Healthy Skin Step 3: Moisturize

The purpose of a good moisturizer is to create a barrier over the skin that keeps the moisture in and healthy, rather than have it dry out and succumb to the harsh environment. Using natural oils will not may your skin extra oily, in fact, it will help balance the skins natural oils and provide the necessary lubrication to keep your skin from over-compensating in oil production. Moisturizers should be applied in small enough amounts to cover desired area, and rub in. Do not remove with water, and allow skin to absorb the moisturizer.

Healthy Skin Step 4: Exfoliate

A good exfoliant will remove old dead skin and debris without causing damage to your skin and should leave your skin feeling softer and looking healthier. Body and Face rubs are very different, where a body rub can be harsher on the skin and used for tougher areas where the skin may be thicker. The face can be very delicate and its skin can become easily irritated or damaged. If done on a weekly basis, this step should precede the first 3. Mix contents of exfoliant and gently rub onto your skin in a circular motion. Wash face to remove, and dry.
